Bet on Sports Snubs Third Court HearingBet On Sports executives have again snubbed a court hearing last week in St. Missouri court. Since the original restraining order on July 1st, the sports betting company has failed to show up in three court appearances. Legal representatives of Bet On Sports said that the company will not answer to the charges that are directed against the company. U.S authorities warned that warrants of arrest might be issued to the Bet On Sports executives if they set foot in the U.S soil. The U.S law dictates that the large sums of money that are leaving the country and being transferred to foreign land be subject to suspicious activity report. The U.S government tries to ensure that the money is not used to fund malevolent activities such as acts of terrorism, money laundering and illegal drugs. Aside from former CEO David Carruthers, ten other executives including Gary Kaplan are part of the twenty two indictment charges by the U.S Department of Justice. Kaplan is still hiding from the U.S officials and is believed to be hiding in Israel or Costa Rica. The gaming industry waits whether Kaplan will be extradited as the Costa Rica Ministry of Security has announced that they will cooperate with the U.S. authorities. |
